Red Savina Habanero
For many years, the Red Savina Habanero was the king of the super hot peppers. In fact, it was only dethroned in 2007 by the Naga Jolokia pepper. The Red Savina Habanero registers above 500,000 Scovilles and was validated by the Mexico State University in 2005. This specie was developed by a spice shop owner from Walnut, California. His name was Frank Garcia and he bred this special cultivar so his peppers would become hotter, heavier and bear much larger fruit.
