Trinidad Moruga Scorpion
The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion is a fiery pepper native to Moruga in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. It is one of the hottest peppers in the world with a recorded 2 million SHU. In February 2012, the New Mexico State University’s Chili Pepper Institute identified the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion as the hottest chilli pepper in the planet on February 2012. This was a new discovery at that time, but the pronouncement was not certified by the Guinness Records.
