Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper)
The Bhut Jolokia or the Ghost Pepper was the most popular “Super Hot” pepper in 2007 and was the first pepper that was scientifically tested for hotness. It scored over 1 million scovilles and for a while, people still believed that it’s the spiciest chilli in the world. One bite of this can bring a grown man down to his knees. This pepper is grown in Northeastern India as well as some parts of Bangladesh.
