Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper)
Scoville has this at 800000 to 1041427 in the hot pepper chart. This pepper comes in a number of different names. However, Bhut Jolokia and Ghost Pepper are the most known. The Nagaland and Assam regions of India are where this pepper comes from. Parts of Bangladesh harvest it also. This has been keeping foods of the region hot for a number of centuries now. It has amazing heating power. The Guinness Book of World records declared it the hottest in 2007.
