Delta Gamma
Oxford, Mississippi was the place where the sorority named Delta Gamma was founded. This was done by three young ladies enrolled at the Lewis School for Girls. This was in 1873 when all three of them were not able to go back to their homes for the Christmas holidays. Their names were Eva Webb, Mary Comfort, and Anna Boyd. The formation of the group is based on ‘mutual helpfulness’. Their motto is to ‘Do Good’ based on their Greek letters.
